The city of Piedmont, in cooperation with the waste services of the republic, will be holding a free compost competition for residents on September 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the company yard at 898 Red Rock Road in Piedmont.

Bring shovels, gloves, containers, and proof of residence to collect the compost. You can fill out a form to receive news about future freebies by visiting piemont.ca.gov and clicking on Compost News. Children can watch a “Bee Movie” in Piedmont Park on September 17th

The Piedmont Recreation Department is showing the family-friendly “Bee Movie” for its popular Movies in the Park program from 7:20 pm on September 17th in Piedmont Park. Attendees can bring low lounge chairs and picnics to watch the free movie for everyone. The film screenings are sponsored by the City of Piedmont, which recommends the practice of COVID safety guidelines for the safety of all.
