Grand Opening Celebration showcases an innovative $ 25 million community and its transformative amenities

SANTA ANA, Calif., July 21, 2021 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) – The Town & Country Life Plan Community announces the grand opening of Grace Gardens, a $ 25 million memorial care community with one of Orange County’s largest outdoor courtyards. The non-profit community offers accommodation to around 80 residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia in four different parts of the city.

The grand opening ceremony takes place on Friday, July 23 at 2:00 p.m. PDT and features live music, free drinks, brain-healthy treats, and tours of the memory maintenance neighborhoods and community facilities. Participants are invited to create a painting in the art room during the party. The tours are socially distant and refreshments are served individually. RSVP at 714-480-7738 or http://tcmanor.com/upcoming-events/.

“Nature has a therapeutic effect on people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease,” said Dirk DeWolfe, Managing Director of Town & Country. “We have created a community where nature can be part of every resident’s day.”

A formative encounter with a person suffering from dementia at the beginning of DeWolfe’s career contributed to the unique design of Grace Gardens. “I went outside with a combative patient and everything about him changed,” DeWolfe said. “As long as he went, he was happy. When we started Grace Gardens, I knew that a walk-in, natural environment had to be an integral part of the design. “

Grace Gardens gives residents access to beautiful, natural surroundings, sunlight and plenty of safe, open space to move about. The 300 m² inner courtyard offers walking paths, trees, flowers, edible plants, elevated gardens and a flower shed for horticultural therapy. Residents with limited mobility will have access to indoor horticultural encounters.

“We look forward to the day when Alzheimer’s will be a thing of the past. Until then, we plan to do everything we can to make the trip as pleasant as possible, ”said DeWolfe.

Grace Gardens designed the environment for people with dementia to give residents the highest levels of independence and dignity. Activities and programs are designed to take into account each individual’s abilities to ensure their success and make life easier. The programming is level-informed in order to address the individual. There are many shades of cognitive impairment and the team begins investigating possible causes. They then apply all the tools, best practices, and knowledge to enhance each resident’s physical, emotional, and spiritual experience based on their needs and potential.

Your memory maintenance environment gives you a sense of independence, autonomy, and choice. Using the latest therapeutic design principles, Grace Gardens is helping people suffering from cognitive decline due to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other types of dementia live successfully. Small hints make the difference and the intuitive layout and signage make orientation easier.

Grace Gardens is located on the Town & Country Campus, which is rated five stars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. They offer four neighborhoods, each tailored to a specific, stage-informed cohort of residents of the same age. The rooms are private and spacious and offer garden views. High-tech touchscreens and intuitive navigation are available. Families and residents can have breakfast, lunch or dinner together at an on-site restaurant called Rob’s Garden Cafe. Grace Gardens provides 24-hour nursing staff and a concierge doctor’s office, medical appointment transportation, and chef-prepared meals. Therapies include arts, music, pet, exercise, and horticulture.

Town & Country is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit senior Christian Christian community in the heart of Orange County. Built in 1975, Town & Country was brought to life with a vision of showing God’s love through caring and serving residents. The 8 acre campus is full of courtyards, gardens and fountains, with each apartment having a private terrace. Town & Country offers independent living, assisted living, qualified care and short-term rehabilitation care. Further information can be found at https://www.tcmanor.com/
