The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a series of three webinars on compost issues in agriculture and waste management from Thursday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 23rd and 30th, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
According to a press release from UMaine News in Orono, this compost webinar series will first explore the organic certification process for the use of compost with Caleb Goossen, specialist in organic plants and equipment for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association. This is followed by carcass composting with Krishona Martinson, Professor at the University of Minnesota and specialist in Extension Equine. and composting hemp scraps with Mark King, Maine Environmental Protection Specialist and Maine Compost School educator.
The fee is $ 10 per session, $ 25 for the series. Registration is required. To register and get webinar links, visit extension.umaine.edu.
