Suspect: Highland Road

Just before 5 a.m. on March 23, officers saw a man who appeared to be looking in trucks at Mobile Lawn Care Landscaping. He ran from behind the store but found himself near Crostata’s Pizza about 20 minutes later.

The 53-year-old Cleveland man had an active arrest warrant for breaking parole for burglary and was in custody. It was later given to members of parliament from the district.

It was then learned that the landscaping business had been broken into and items from it had been placed in a truck in the area. The case is currently under investigation and charges are likely.

About an hour later, a resident walking in the area found seven key phrases together on the floor. These were handed over to the police and were part of the lawn care business.

A resident found a bag of suspicious drugs on a tree lawn while cycling on March 16. The white, crystal-like substance is believed to be an anesthetic. No suspects have been identified.

Officials tried to stop a speeding and weaving vehicle on March 16, but it continued westward. When it finally stopped, the driver was found with an open alcohol container and under the influence of alcohol. The 33-year-old Cleveland woman was charged with OVI and other traffic violations.

The officers learned that the girl had quarreled with a younger boy, and he brought an elderly relative who quarreled with the girl and pushed her. The incident is being investigated.

Driving disruptions: Interstate 271

A vehicle traveling at over 100 miles per hour crashed into another vehicle at around 12:45 a.m. on March 20. The victim’s vehicle left the lane in the median. This driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle held a loaded gun, marijuana, and drug packaging. The 34-year-old Bedford driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with OVI, gun violations and drug possession.

A driver was found sleeping at the wheel of his vehicle with gear engaged at around 3:30 a.m. on March 20. When the officers woke him, his foot released the brakes and his vehicle rolled into a cruiser. The 35-year-old man from Cleveland Heights has been charged with OVI.

A man said on March 21st that Harry Buffalo had no water and that the bathroom was dirty. He said he would call the health department.

A woman said on March 20 that she suspected that the person sitting behind her in Panera had tapped her cell phone. She said he was on his cell phone talking about “wiretapping” and “she’s leaving.” The officers advised the woman to monitor her financial accounts for suspicious activity.
