A TEENAGER raised £ 800 for a nursing home by completing a 220km sponsored run.

17 year old Archie Smith was inspired to raise money for the Ridgeway Care Center in Llawhaden because his girlfriend’s grandmother lives there.

Archie, who lives in Carew, ran around his home and also took in Sageston and St. Florence.

He originally planned to run 200 km, but then went the extra miles to cover the total of 220 km.

Archie, a spokesman for the Ridgeway Care Center, said thank you: “The home is very grateful for Archie’s tremendous donations and kindness during these difficult times.

“The money raised will be used for a sensory garden that all residents and families can enjoy.
