Gary and Kim Belton have been a staple in the Morris County community for nearly four decades. Gary, the retired owner of a local metropolitan design company, and Kim, Nurse Manager at Morristown Medical Center, had lived in a beautifully restored home in Brookside, Mendham, New Jersey since the early 1980s. The two-story colonial farmhouse offered the life of a storybook with gingerbread railings and brackets on the porch and the serene Harmony Brook that ran through their property. However, after nearly 40 years, the couple decided it was time to write the next chapter in their life story and do the chores that come with maintaining a three-bedroom single-family home in order to enable a carefree life in a new one Rental house.
“We decided to move in summer 2020,” said Belton. “Our decision to move was mainly due to the strong real estate market at the time. We first looked into buying an apartment or townhouse.
We were looking for a simple lifestyle without the real estate upkeep that comes with owning a home. We wanted to downsize and enjoy a turnkey lifestyle. Lock it up and forget about it, so to speak! “

After considering their options, the Beltons decided that a luxury condo would best suit their needs and began looking for real estate in Morris County, with Morristown, its entertainment and cultural hub, being the preferred destination. Unfortunately, many of the properties the couple visited in the area did not offer the type of residential environment they were looking for.
“We looked at all of the new rentals in Morristown,” recalls Gary. “Our search revealed that new housing developments in Morristown and the surrounding towns did not have enough space to meet our needs. We also found that the quality of workmanship was poor, with many having narrow hallways that looked more like a dorm than a house. “
Fortunately, a friend who was also looking for a rental in Morristown referred the Beltons to 30 Court, a 58-house boutique rental property developed by PCD Development of New Providence, one block from the famous Morristown “Green”. The 30 Court features luxurious residences with expansive living spaces and modern amenities. They immediately made an appointment for a performance.
“When we discovered 30 Court, we were very excited,” added Belton. “It was the first rental that checked all the boxes on our list. The decisive factor for our decision to lease at 30 Court was the area for our facility. We were very impressed by the high-quality construction, equipment, doors, fittings and cupboards as well as the high ceilings and spacious floor plans. We wanted big closets and a big bathroom with a bath. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms were also a must. “
The 30 Beltons were very impressed with 30 Court and quickly rented a 1,560 square foot home that overlooked the patio and courtyard. You became one of the first residents of the building, maintaining its lively environment and welcoming atmosphere. The couple are now living the maintenance-free lifestyle they have been seeking in a modern, stylish building with top-notch amenities.
“There is an open feeling when you enter the building, which is reinforced by the wide hallways,” said Mr Belton. “In the public areas there are trendy decorations and furniture, carpet corridors and a modern post office with the secure Luxor system. We both loved the fitness center with quality equipment and the courtyard was a huge plus for us. “
The location also played a big role in the attractiveness of 30 Court, Belton points out. Because Kim is a key and critical frontline healthcare worker at Morristown Medical Center, she can be at the facility in minutes.
“It’s a five-minute drive for them,” he said, “and we’re near lots of shopping and dining in downtown Morristown.”
The four-story 30 Court building offers a mix of two-bedroom, two-bedroom plus den, ranging from approximately 1,250 square feet to 2,000 square feet of interior space, many with additional balconies or patios. The building is ideally located at 30 Court Street on Morristown’s highest point and offers residents unparalleled panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
The effective monthly rents for the stylish homes start at $ 3,825 and include a time-limited incentive of 1 month free with a 13 month lease and 2 months free with a 26 month lease. Houses are available for immediate occupancy.
The elegant houses on 30 Court have open and light-flooded floor plans with upscale features and surfaces, including 9 ‘ceiling heights, full and Juliette balconies (some with a view of the inner courtyard), a ButterflyMX® video access system and a separate in-home -Video laundry room with large washing machines and dryers. The private, lush courtyard has a lawn area with shaded seating and dining areas, oversized fireplaces, a quiet water feature and an outdoor kitchen area with barbecue stations. The pet-friendly community also offers an on-site concierge service, a Luxer One® parcel delivery system and a private parking garage with charging stations for electric cars. Bradyl ™ storage units can also be reserved.
The 30 Court is just a short walk from the fine dining, nightlife, shops and services along South Street in Morristown. Entertainment and cultural options are also abundant, including the renowned Mayo Performing Arts Center with music, dance, comedy and much more, as well as the Frelinghuysen Arboretum. Of course, Morristown is widely known for its role in the country’s revolutionary past, and nearby museums and historical sites like Washington headquarters pay homage.
30 Court’s convenient locale also makes commuting a breeze. The building is less than 1 mile from the NJ Transit® Morristown train station, which takes drivers to the Newark and New York City work centers.
